Introducing the Drone Maker Kit by Pitsco Education. With the Drone Maker Kit, you are given a system for designing, building, and flying your own drone! This kit is customizable and enables students to work through the engineering design process to iterate their own drone design. Operation Breakthrough is a nationally accredited nonprofit that has served Kansas City since 1971. They are mission driven to provide hands-on learning experiences with supportive teacher interactions. From the earliest ages, students are offered a range of activities and focuses. Each new chance can spark curiosity and interest in fields they might not have otherwise considered. The classrooms are safe places to experiment, fail, and try again. Students are encouraged and coached. By using developmentally appropriate products like Bee-Bot and Blue-Bot, students are building mindset, skill set, and opportunity with each experience. From its inception to present day, Operation Breakthrough continues to break down barriers and champion kids. Their community partnerships and focused work provide enriching, high-quality STEM experiences early in life, giving all children the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Pea Ridge Public Schools wanted more for their students. Their workplace-readiness revolution is powered by hands-on, minds-on learning. Superintendent Rick Neal initiated a program that would better prepare students for the workplace and higher education by partnering with Northwest Arkansas’s business and industry leaders. The Pea Ridge Manufacturing and Business Academy (PRMBA) took off! But the students entering the program as juniors and seniors needed more preparation prior to the program. Neal identified an internal pipeline problem, and Pea Ridge Exploration of Pathways (PREP) program was created. By partnering with Pitsco Education, STEM education is now the place, activity, and method through which Pea Ridge students build their workplace-readiness skills.
